KURAZOL shampoo contains ketoconazole and pyrithione. these are antifungal medications, and both works by killing the fungi. ketoconazole works by blocking the ergosterol synthesis in the fungal cell membrane, thus it disturbs the integrity of the membrane and kills the fungi. pyrithione stops the fungi growth by inhibiting cell division.
